DoulaCare Ireland is the brainchild of Mary Tighe and Jen Crawford. Mary and Jen are two of the most experienced doulas in Ireland and widely known and respected for the work that they do.  They joined forces to bring their extensive skills and knowledge together to create an all encompassing Doula Agency that offers support to parents every step of the way as they choose a doula and prepare for their upcoming birth.  With DoulaCare Ireland parents have the reassurance that the doulas and birth professionals working within the organisation have all been carefully selected by Jen and Mary because of their training, knowledge and experience and ethical work practices.

The Doula Association of Ireland covers most areas in Ireland and 95% of their members were trained by Doula Ireland and are DONA Trained.

The Doula Association of Ireland is a community of mothers and doulas that promotes, develops and supports doulas and the doula profession.  They are a voluntary, not for profit membership organisation that is bound by a common code of ethics, constitution and disciplinary procedure.

The aim of the doula is to provide gentle and caring support, information and companionship to birthing mothers and their families during the pregnancy, labour, birthing and postpartum processes. Some doulas specialise in providing assistance during pregnancy and birth, others work in the postpartum period to assist new mothers, and some do a combination of both. Whatever your circumstances or birth wishes, your doula is with you every step of the way providing continuous support and encouragement, assisting you to have the very best birth possible.

Whether you are interested in hiring a doula, becoming a doula yourself or simply would like to find out more information, we trust you will find the answers to some of your questions in their website - http://www.Doula.ie
